Although we understand that experience and insight go a long way in the technology field, there are several government and industry standards that will limit the career growth of a computer professional without a degree. As such, we require that all employees seeking to become a Principal complete a four-year degree program in an industry-related field. As a Principal Consultant, you will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of all areas in which a consultant is expected to have general knowledge.
In addition, Principal Consultants are required to possess a majority of following skill sets:
• Presentation, communication, organizational, and client management skills
• System integration experience in the Windows and Unix environments
• Knowledge of multiple communication algorithms used in applications
• Ability to analyze client needs and propose adequate solutions to problems
• Exceptional ability to troubleshoot problems in networks and applications
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide guidance to consultants and other members of staff
• Assist in the sales process providing optimal solutions to match customer needs
• Analyze work of Technicians and marketing materials to ensure technical accuracy
• Provide input into new products and technologies
• Train clients in the usage of current capabilities and methodologies
