Vice President, Business Development Federal Sector

The Vice President of Business Development for the Federal Sector will be responsible for increasing Ciphent's presence in the U.S. Federal markets. The ideal candidate will posess over ten years experience in building direct and indirect relationships and channel opportunities for near-term growth. The candidate will also have already established relationships within cleared and public projects. The VP of Federal Business Development will be expected to create and execute an aggressive growth plan, create compensation packages for their team and provide quarterly forecasts with weekly status reports. This position reports directly to the CEO/President.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
• 10+ years in leading successful Federal Government business development teams
• Thorough knowledge of the computer, Internet, and security industry with extensive industry and professional contacts.
• Proven ability to initiate, negotiate and close Enterprise sales opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to grow a dedicated team of focused individuals to include compensation package instantiation
• Must embrace the notion of 'sales discipline' and leverage a well thought out plan to rapidly develop territories into revenue contribution and rapidly move opportunities through the pipeline.
• Should be familiar with the basic concepts of service revenue recognition and be and willing to strategically structure deals to afford maximum revenue for the Company over the long term.
• The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Business Administration or a similar advanced degree.
