Red Oak Funding, a mortgage broker located in Glencoe, Maryland, wanted their existing website updated to stand out from the ever-expanding crowd of mortgage companies competing for online attention. At the same time, they wanted to make it easier for site visitors to be able to interact with them at their own pace, on their own time, to make the process of applying for a mortgage less intimidating to the customer and simpler for the broker.

Red Oak contracted with Ciphent to redesign the layout of their website to complement the austere, minimal look used in their offsite marketing material. In addition to creating the layout, a significant part of the site redesign included developing a software component that will allow the company to accept loan applications online and then seamlessly integrate that information with their offline system. Ciphent used an assortment of cutting-edge technologies such as ASP.Net, C#, and MS SQL Server to develop a website other mortgage brokers can only dream about. With the new site design, when a loan applicant fills out the online forms, their information is automatically stored in Red Oak’s files - no paper required.
