Due to rapid growth, Ciphent, Inc. seeks a self-motivated, organized, ambitious individual to serve as a McAfee Product Consultant for an impressive roster of clients. We seek a talented candidate who knows how to get things done, and will motivate others to do the same. You will work closely with our Principals to lead your team in completing high-profile, unparalleled quality projects on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will possess intimate knowledge of complexity and challenges surrounding McAfee and Foundstone products. Qualified candidates will lead by example, be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and experience interfacing with clients.
What will I be doing?
• Serve as Technical Expert on projects
• Conduct security assessments
• Interface with clients from proposal through to delivery phase, when necessary
• Teach Foundstone/McAfee training courses
• Travel to client sites
• Provide delivery oversight of customer engagements
• Act as a liaison between Principals and Client
• Update Principals on project statuses on at least a weekly basis
• Communicate recommendations to clients in both written and oral form
• Prepare technical designs as well as high-level flowcharts and schematics
• Develop and maintain client loyalty
• Assist in sales processes
• Perform work related to Foundstone/McAfee’s product and/or services offerings
• Identify and implement improvements in existing processes and procedures.
• Coach other consultants new products and techniques
• Responsible for managing Team’s projects from commencement to completion, when necessary
• Define project scope and implementation solutions
• Effectively estimate the level of effort required to develop a project
• Segment tasks and delegate accordingly
• Aid in awareness of standards and best practices, as well as enforce these standards
• Determine composition of teams
What do I need to have to apply?
• Minimum 4 years of experience
• 4 year degree preferred (technical degree preferred)
• Minimum 2 years subject field experience (networking/consulting/computer security)
• Mastery of the core security and development skills, including problem solving, software design, coding and testing, and assessments
• Ongoing technical proficiency
• Knowledge of systems architecture
• CISSP, MCSE, CNNA/CCIE certification preferred
• Current knowledge of security threats, solutions, security tools and network technologies.
• Knowledge of configuring and implementing security solutions
• A working knowledge of integration practices
• Familiarity with the following : JAVA, J2EE, .NET, C#, .NET, OOP / OOS, Python, C++, .NET, Object Oriented Programming, Visual C++, JavaScript, HTML
• Experience with developing applications using at least one of the following: SQL databases, LDAP directory, Radius, VPN technologies
• Proficiency in information security regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior problem-solving skills
• Experience with client interfacing
